What we do

East and North Africa Regional office

The East and North Africa Regional (ENAR) office of is based in Nairobi, Kenya. We support programmes in eight countries in the region: vocational and business skills training in Ethiopia, Rwanda and Sudan, inclusive education in Kenya, Uganda, Sudan and Rwanda and economic empowerment in Tanzania.

National Cheshire Services

Each country in the region has a national Cheshire Board which runs autonomous projects, services and campaigns and works to support disabled people and their right to participate fully in society. All Cheshire partners in the region are members of the Leonard Cheshire Global Alliance.

The regional office plays a critical role in training and developing National Cheshire Boards and we see strengthening the capability of all those involved as very important. A crucial aspect of this are the National Coordinators who provide administrative and fundraising support to the board and are based in each country.
