Young Friends of Cheshire

Three young friends sorting through clothesOur Young Friends of Cheshire programme gives young students and graduates an opportunity to put their skills into practice within Leonard Cheshire Disability Services and offices in Kenya.

Our young friends volunteer either as full time interns, or on a more flexible basis, helping out at LCD events or fundraising for example. We place our young friends with Cheshire projects where their skills and experiences are most needed. The programme gives young people a chance to actively use their skills and gain more experience in their area of work and learn about disability and development, whilst providing much needed support for Cheshire Services in Kenya. Volunteers provide skills such as IT, marketing, social work and physiotherapy.
